Couples Therapy in Brooklyn and Manhattan
Every relationship goes through rough patches. But when the same arguments keep happening, you struggle with communication, or when trust has been broken, it can be hard to find your way back to each other on your own. Couples therapy can help.
In our sessions, I create a space where both of you feel heard — not judged, not blamed. My goal is to help you understand what's really happening beneath the surface of your conflicts, and to give you the tools and insight to communicate more effectively and relate to each other with more empathy and care.
I work with couples navigating all kinds of challenges, including:
- Communication breakdowns and conflict
- Emotional distance or disconnection
- Trust issues and infidelity recovery
- Differences in values, goals, or parenting styles
- Major life transitions (moving, having children, job changes)
- Issues related to opening a relationship
- Preparing for marriage or long-term commitment
- Considering separation or divorce
Whether you've been together for two years or twenty, and whether you're in crisis or just feeling disconnected, couples therapy can open up new ways of seeing and being with each other. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and informed.
I see couples at my offices in Brooklyn Heights and Union Square. Sessions are typically weekly, and I tailor my approach to what each couple needs. If you're wondering whether couples therapy might help, I encourage you to reach out — the first step is simply having a conversation.
Feel free to reach out to set up an initial consultation — there's no obligation, and we can simply talk about whether working together feels like a good fit.
A few quick questions
Do you take insurance?
I'm out-of-network. I provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.
Do you see couples in person or via telehealth?
I mostly see couples in my offices in Downtown Brooklyn and the West Village but telehealth is available in some cases. Reach out and we can discuss whether it's a good fit for your situation.
What happens during the free consultation?
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to talk about what's bringing you to therapy and to see if we seem like a good fit — no obligation.
